kayong dalawa talaga! almost burned the school.

Science Lab.

Science class was... interesante. :|
Also, it was near-death. Hahahaha.

See the picture? The wave?

Now, imagine that wave heading for you. Now imagine it wasn't water: it was fire. Ble flames to be exact. Creepy?

I was just washing the test tubes when suddenly: BOOM!
Next thing I knew, I was telling myself: HOY, LATE REACTION! MOVE BACK OR YOU'LL GET BURNED!

Grabe talaga. Babsi and Jus almost blamed the school.

The story? Babsi left the gas valve open. Jus just happened to be playing with the matches. Next thing we knew, Jus burned his hair and a flame wave was coming to my direction. When the wave finally "disappeared," only the part under the valve was flaming.

Mr. Chua extinguished it. Phew.

Anyhow, right after, there was this weird sensation on my right hand.
The sink was at the very end of the canal. And it so happened I was right there. My left hand was inside the 'bowl' but my right was still exposed.

It's probably nothing. Caloy's theory: na-trauma lang kamay mo. Hahaha.

Wow. That was interesting. Thank you Jus and Babsi for almost burning my hand or the school. :D

there's a moment you know your f***ed.

Birthday pt. 2: Math Club, Paul, Spring Awakening, Spanish Club, FX, Alexie!

Friday was wonderfully awesome! Lol.

Do you know Mrs. Hernandez invited me to the the math club? Lol. I love her na sooo much! Hahaha. It's not that I wan'na be in math club--coz I don't, and if I did, I wouldn't have the time either.--it' just that someone finally recognizes I can be good at math.

Paul came to visit! He did.
So excited. So happy. Sana he comes everyday! Lol. (oh yeah, i gave him his tagalog dictionary na. lol. he better start reading dekada) This, for the most part, was the highlight of the day.

Paul gave me my birthday gift--the one I've been waiting for a year in the making: Spring Awakening Vocal Selections. AWESOME! lol.
I've already been playing some songs (i know na the notes for the start of totally fucked.) but I really need piano lessons: I dunno how to play the notes for the left hand. Yamaha organs only teach me to play steady chords with my right not those weirdly fluctuating ones.

Also, Sean lent me his Spanish Club worksheet. Amazing! Something to practice on. Some more teaching. But nothing will beat being taugh Spanish--especially by Mrs. O--since the worksheet is kinda vague. I hope the club's still open next year. (Who could be the moderator? I only know two Spanish-teaching teachers and both won't be here next year.)

Stage FX is <3. They brought in cupcakes... shaped in a letter L.
That was another highlight. Then they sang me happy birthday too. Speechless ako sobra with my mouth open. Lol. I love you guys! Thanks soo much.
No wonder Stacey kept asking: "Are you going?"

By the way. I'll correct my other blog. Someone did sing me a decent happy birthday. (no, not cj and his "hoops & yoyo" version in the patio) It's Alexie. Ang cute nya over the phone. I miss her terribly! I wanna hug her and squeeze and carry her. So if you ask me, she's my favorite but I still love Robin as much. (Who wouldn't if he kept sticking to you?) Buti na lang I'll see her tomorrow.

you're my PUSTISO 'coz i can't smile without you.

Sweeter than 16

THANK YOU, KARL SEE! Grabe that IM came from nowhere. But I'm laughing until now. you're my pustiso... :))
Oo na, am'babaw ko. But I guess I really needed that laugh.

Anyhow. Today was quite an okay birthday. Last night ended kind of... bland. But things are looking up since then. And thank God for the long hours of sleep.

Thanks to everyone who greeted! (trivia: stacey was the first one to greet me at around 12am. he was also the first person na nilibre ko.)

You know what. My day could have been perfect. But it wasn't. And I guess, I loved it that way... imperfect.

I really, really like the new shirts I got. And I got new headphones, which I will trade for my new iPod classic. (Yes!)

Probably another sweet birthday gift would be watching a movie with friends. I can't wait to see Paul! Lol. Magpakita ka na! An dami mong utang na kwento. Gusto na rin kitang tuksuin. I miss the nasal congestion! (because it affects your hearing.)

Oh wow. The radio (rx) just greeted happy birthday. Not to me directly of course. Pero kahit na. Wahaha. Wag ka nang manggulo pa.

You know what. No one has sung me a decent happy birthday yet. I'll do it myself. :D Good night.

Okay. My last birthday gift. I hope I get it... 'coz I'm not going down without a fight.

around and around.

Wanted and Damn.

I swear... WANTED was Ah-mazing! The best summer flick ever!

Cool effects. Cool gore. Cool. Cool. Makes you wish it was true.

James McAvoy was amazing. Hehe. Galeeeng.

Angelina Jolie and Morgan Freeman were amazing too... but hell, all their roles are always like that. Think Mr & Mrs. Smith and Tomb Raider, and the Almighty movies.

(As a side note, I never ever thought Jolie to be hot. As in never. Not in any of her movies. I don't get why people think she is so when there are other actresses out there. Now in this movie, she was only hot in one scene: her when she was on the floor dead. lol. something about the white shirt and the flowing brown hair at that exact moment. lol.)

This would be my most fave summer flick so far.
1. Wanted.
2. Speed Racer.
3. The Happening.
4. 21.

Gahd. I keep missing my chance. But I NEED to do it soon.

2 araw na lang!

anniversary! w00t.

HAPPY 500th!

This is my 500th blog entry since my first blog entry on November 3, 2005! (almost 3 years. lol.)

But no, you won't find that entry here on multiply. It's on my old blogspot blog.
http://dewerants.blogspot.com/2005/11/numero-uno.html
Sorry, you can't access that. I closed that blog for only me--and a friend--to see it. (for archiving.)

When did I start blogging? 2003. On my Friendster account.
I moved to Blogger since it had more html capabilities. That account was started July 2005, but I only started blogging on it November that year. (Both accounts are still running, but not available for public viewing.) And it had been my main blog for quite a few years.

I also have/had other blogs: LiveJournal, Blog, and some other site I can't remember.

Then, I moved my blog to multiply last Dec 7, 2007. (I've had this Multiply account since September 2005... that's years before the multiply fever. lol. When the fever did start, I only posted photos. Hehe.)
http://dewe52.multiply.com/journal/item/136/six_degrees_of_kevin_bacon
This should be my 208th multiply blog. Hehe.

History. La lang.

Why do I blog? Because I'm not the verbal person. Although I enjoy expressing myself a lot, I never really get to say it out loud, especially with people I'm not tight-tight with. Why? It relieves stress. A good blog, for me, is a really good remedy for releasing any problems, stress, disappointments, etc. Why? Because it's a way to "spread the fun." Why? Because i've gotten used to it already. Why? I can't live without it.
There are tons of reasons. Let's just say this: I Love Blogging. Hehe.

So yes. Happy anniversary to me. Lol

walang taytel.

The Hulk and My New Nikes.

Okay. So I just watched the beginning of Deal or No Deal: ARound the World Philippines Edition. Hehe. I'm glad they enjoyed. Lol.

Back to my real blog: last night I watched The Incredible Hulk. I didn't like it as much. (I trusted Roger Ebert, which is why my expectations weren't high.) The reason I chose to watch it over Get Smart was because (1) I didn't wan'na watch comedy and (2) I love Edward Norton and Liv Tyler.

And I was right. The movie wasn't as nice. But Edward Norton and Liv Tyler were amazing! lol.

Anyhow, I got myself a new pair of shoes! Yehay! I'm so happy. I can finally retire my old rubber shoes. I just noticed: I really like Nike Airs. This new one is Air Prestige. The old one was Air Max. The one before that was Air Max Solas. Lol. The other thing: all 3 are part green. Lol. (I plan to take my old green shoelaces and put them on my new one. lol.)

I hope this isn't my birthday present. I still want my CDs... and an iPod.

In other news, I'm about to do it.

Oh God, help me. We all know it.

don't you just hate that bioflu commercial?

do trees hear love?

The Happening

Instead of watching Kung Fu Panda and The Hulk as most people would have done, I watched The Happening. I've been anticipating on this since I first saw the trailer because I've always been attracted by these end of the world films. lol.

What I can say is wow. Wow. Wow.

I dunno what kind of genre it's classified under. It's not horror... nothing to give you nightmares. It's not really suspense because it's not suspenseful... it's frightening. So maybe it's under apocalyptic-thriller whatever? (who cares anyway?)

Before I begin on my actual thoughts, let me tell you why I regretted watching the film: none of the people whom I watched it enjoyed it... I think. The worst victim was Trisha: she was crying on the car ride home, she fears Mrs. Jones will come in and break the window, she fears construction workers will fall from the house under construction beside her bedroom window, she's afraid to go jogging since it's windy in Ayala. Gahd.

In other words, I loved it. LOL!

It's a really, really great movie. I don't find it scary or haunting. It's not even that gross... well maybe it is but not as disgusting as your typical gore movies.

It's very realistic. It's very... I can't find the right words at the moment.

And you know what. It could be true. That's why we must take care of the environment. Malay mo, bukas aatakihin ka na ng mga...

Great movie! But if you feel you're too sensitive, don't enter the cinema.

paws.

Teachers and Elections

Friday the 13th. (The Happening is showing na!) Usually, my friends and I would keep count if this one was bad luck or good luck--'coz they alternate every year. I guess, we've been so busy, we've forgotten.

I have bad feelings about some teachers. (I have the weirdest feeling I'll be sleeping in the same classes.)

I'm quite excited to see what would happen for World His class. M. Lapena seems... unpredictable. He sort of reminds me of Mr Marana. In the sense that... I dunno. But he does. So much, that I have this mindset that I can't speak Filipino in front of him since he wouldn't understand much, but he does.... I think.
Oh... and he speaks Spanish. On the first day, we're like woah.. Spanish prayer! (quite a coincidence. just a day before school, I was asking yahoo answers about some spanish words.)

Mr Acosta might make another Alano class, which I fear so much. Just this morning... nevermind.

Zhou Laoshi seems really nice. She also doesn't speak much English, but I hope I understand her more than Li Laoshi.
How do you quit advanced Chinese without failing the requirements?

Ms Magallona seems interesting too. But not much presumptions here... she isn't a new face. I mean, she taught C last year. (I wish I had Mr.A. Lol.--how funny. Ms.A, Mrs.A and Mr.A all teach English. lol.)

Ms Cuevas. Homework, as usual. (smile, cher!)

Mr Chua seems like fun too.

Mrs H. Hmmm. Still kind of blurry at the moment. But I have a feeling...

So we had our class elections today. And I just hope the officers work out right, unlike High 1.

Once again, I tried but failed to claim the title of treasurer. (Coincidentally, against Kerwin again.)

But I guess it's a sign... you don't have to be in a position to help the class. I mean, take a look at last year. Wahaha.

you did this to me.

Wednesday, June 11 at 5:15 PM

First Day.

I rode the school bus at around 6:35am. Wow. Same faces, same habits: all asleep.

One thing struck me though, and it only hit me at that very moment. I looked at my batchmate's patch and I saw III. Shit. I'm so OLD!

Anyhow, I arrived in school... early. So I went on my way to the classroom. And another realization just struck me to on that very moment. Shit. STAIRS!

Wow. Funny stuff.
A little catching up with everybody. And then Ms.Perps arrived with two teachers: Mr.Alibudbud and Mr.Lapena.

Usual stuff.

And then I received the planner. And I heard buzzing and buzzing. Till Charles called my attention and said: SI LUIS OH! (or something to that effect)

And wow was I proud. I'm on the front cover. An old Hulugan photo. LOL!

What's more, I had another photo at the back. It was from the fair with Zyg and our grand prize winner. More fun. Two photos on the planner. I'm so famous. LOL!

(whoever took those photos, congratulations for winning the stallion contest! and thanks for putting me on it. lol. kapal eh!)

The planner was a sign. It really is MY year. Lol.

By the way... it's like I was the only one who was hyper today. Lol.

sonrie!

The Night Before School Starts.

Okay. Before I move on, I'll talk about my day:

Mcdo = Love. their hamdesal was good but nothing beats the smw/e (i ate both. hehe)

I finally finished The Godfather. it was a really, really good movie. but kinda too old for me.

I have a new DVD player. (well... technically, it isn't new.)

I'm trying out Spanish. I asked Yahoo! Answers for some Spanish translations of phrases I commonly use. Then, I found some Spanish sites that teaches me how to read them aloud. (basically the same banana as Filipino. almost.) And I found this other site that has this whole lesson plan. Wihee. Espanol! Lol.

Alright then... SHIT! mixed feelings of excitement, nervousness and I DON'T WAN'NA GO!

It's 10:23 on my watch and I only have seven hours of sleep. But you have to subtract the time needed for me to pack my school stuff (which I haven't done. i'm not excited), do my bathroom rituals and go to sleep. (meaning, getting over insomnia.)

Naku. Tomorrow, tomorrow...

Dream, Babies and Badminton

I better make this fast 'coz he's back. Ugh.
Y'know what? I can say today was definitely fun.

So it started out with various people trying to wake me up with various methods. Lol. Not even shaking or tickling worked. (mostly because I was half awake at that time and refused to get up. hehe)

After their last attempt, I finally woke up. That is, right after having this memorable dream, which I know has a meaning.

So it went like this:
I was with my family--that isn't true to life. I had parents, a sister and a baby brother.
My "parents" wanted to buy a new house and tried to contact this other family, and they agreed to meet at some place to eat. So we ended up somewhere and had Yellow Cab delivered. I still remember the flavor: Garlic Shrimp. Lol.
Anyhow, my baby brother (who looked like he was just learning to talk) tried to say that he could see the other family deceased father. Tikes. Stampede everyone!
So I grabbed my bag and made for the exit till I looked back and saw my baby brother on the floor. I picked him up and ran.
When all was at peace and we were finally somewhere safe, I put him to sleep. Aww.

Yeah, I know the meaning of this one: I MISS ROBIN and ALEX! Waaaa!

I'll miss that feeling I get when I carry them, they hug me and put their heads on my shoulder as I attempt to put them to sleep. There's something about that position that makes you forget about all your worries. Sigh.

Back into real life: I finally finished reading Eats, Shoots and Leaves. (who owns a book about punctuation? apparently, I do.) It certainly was a good book although it took me forever to finish reading.

I watched the Godfather for most of the afternoon but I didn't finish it. Why? I received a text from Ate Kaye inviting me to play badminton.

Going back to the Crame gym brought back soo much memories. Aww.
I still remember 3--or was that four?--years of Coach Noli. Then there's the Bohol gang and everyone else from Badminton training.

I can say that this is the first time I've ever played badminton in years! (let's not count intrams) It feels really good to be playing it again. I can say, I got my skillz back! Woohoo.
I think I know why though: MY PARTNER ISN'T KIM. Apparently, if your partner isn't trying to pull you down, you actually play better. Lol.

I won a two-round match against Trisha (who I learned it with and is much better than me since: (1) she's a mamber of her school's badminton gift, (2) she always has been from the beginnning) and Karen (who first tried it today). My partner was Ate Kaye (who only started this year.) Yeah!

Anyhow, that's mostly today. Good night. 2 days. Shit!
BTW. I might eat McDo tomorrow morning if I actually wake up. :D

love is deaf.

Shopping, Summer, Maturing and the New School Year.

I have done all my summer shopping. Yey! I call them my advanced birthday gifts to myself. LOL.
I got sneakers from People Are People.
Plaid shorts from Human.
A Belt with a Buckle from Penshoppe.
And finally--completed just this day,--a jacket from Greenhills. (hehehe.... hey, i can use it for everyday wear. lol.. i mean, we have aircon na!)
Add to the list the Havaianas mommy fim bought me.

side note: can you believe it. i'm sooo unlucky with sizes: zara didn't have medium of the jacket i wanted (i mean, only large and xl?). the real jacket i wanted from greenhills was too small. a jacket i wanted from springfield was again, too big. anyhow, i ended up with an okay jacket. good enough for me.

I can't believe school's soooo close. But you know what, I'm kind of okay with it 'coz it's been a real fruitful summer. The "time off" brought me a lot of peace of mind. And I'm happy with that. I can now say I've grown more as a person.

You know what, I've been saying all summer that I should watch (not the Godfather, but yes, I have been saying that) Spring Awakening. I only ended up watching it a few days ago. And now, more than ever, the story feels so close to home. Hmmm...

However, nakakainis nga lang kasi na-e-emo ako nang wala sa oras.

But seriously, I'm glad about this summer. And I have to give great big hugs to my cousins (and my cute, cute pamangkins!) since it would've been nothing without them. I feel I've grown more mature because of them (am I not mature enough to begin with?), but I also feel they gave me a wilder side enough to enjoy life.

Let me just tell you this. The only time it hit my head that summer was over was the night I was packing to move out of Ayala, which was only a few nights ago. Before that, when all of you were already keeping their countdowns (one week na lang! six more days!...), I was still busy enjoying my summer. And I'm glad about that.

But now that it's over, it's just given me more reason to wait for the next summer break.

This school year, I'm sure, will be a blast. For one, AIRCON! For another, LOCKERS! And if sources are true, the reason I will shout and scream and jump the hardest... CLASS ADVISER!

AAGGGHHHHHHHHH!

I can't wait. I'm still wondering about what will happen though on... ehem. and ehem.
But you know what, I have faith in myself. After all, I am a good enough-debater. And I've already promised. And I'm already backed-up. Believe. The truth is good enough.

And then there's... Prom. *shivers* (not only for me but for Trisha as well. interesting story hers will be. i might laugh so hard.) And then there's SHOOT! So exciting.

You know what, I'm stepping into school more confident. Lol. Hopes.

After all, this is MY YEAR! :D

things never happen the same way twice.

at 7:13 PM
More Movies!

Okay. Smiles.
This is part 2 of my movie "reviews." I just watched a couple more movies. LOL. Ain't that fun? Hehehe.

Here we go!

Spring Awakening
Wow. Technically, this isn't a movie... but I watched it on a screen, so who cares?

This musical never fails to reduce me to nothing. I love it. Hehehe. I wish I could see it on Broadway. *sigh* How cool would it be to be in a show like this!

Sana magkatotoo ang rekwes ko. *ehempaulehem* jowk!

Sukob (a.k.a. The Wedding Curse)
I watched this one on DVD. When everyone was either asleep or in the other room. Lol.

At first, I thought this was scary. I had to pause it when everybody left the room. However, going through it, it wasn't that much. Sure, it was frightening (nakakagulat), but it won't give me nightmares.

With that out of my head, it would've made a really good movie even if it wasn't headlined as a horror movie. Kris Aquino didn't overact here as compared to Barbara. I just love the whole thing. Way better than most (but not all) of the movies from the other blog. Hehe.

The ending was sad. You'd think it would all be reversed. But it didn't. And I'm glad it ended that way since it wouldn't be believable and you'd say... GANUN LANG? Plus, it adds to the drama.

ABS really likes keeping things open. Both Barbara and Sukob have two ghosts in one house at the ending.

What Happens in Vegas
DVD Marathon last... Friday?

This one's a good watch. Although, I still hate that it beat Speed Racer in the box office. BOO!
Unlike some of the crap (see next film), this one's pretty good. And it's not as predictable as you think. Sure, everyone knows they're going to end up happily married. But you'd expect it to happen sooner. But it didn't... it was nice. I loved it.

The Hottie & the Nottie
DVD Marathon.

Okay... yeah. As expected... BLEH! I got so bored most of the time, I kept pressing fast forward to the parts I think I'd like.
First of all, the actors annoy me. Can't they have chosen a better leading man? He was annoying! And his best friend... oh why!?!?! I just hate seeing him. Then, there's the paid date guy. Ack! And there's more stuff I hate about it, but why bother?

The movie was soooooo predictable. Makeover. Guy falls in love with the Nottie-turned-Hottie.

The single thing I liked about this movie was Christine Lakin. (The Nottie) Yeah, she's what you're expecting all right. Inner beauty. Lol. And outer too at the latter part. I hope she gets better breaks after this. UGH!

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian
I watched this in Shang last night with my dad and Trish. Grabe, this was one long movie! 2 hours and 30 minutes.

You know what, I loved it. LOL. I loved all the stuff they added that wasn't in the book. I agree with Ms.A the animals left are so sad. And the kiss was really bittersweet; they had good chemistry. Plus, teenage angst. Yeah! Lol.

So... there you go. Hehehe.
I can't wait to watch The Godfather (tomorrow on DVD) and The Happening (in theatres this week.) Hehehe.

Doctors and Magazines

Okay. I just went to the derma today. Guess what the derma doctor said!

"Congratulations! You have really good skin!"

Reminds me of my trip to the dentist a few weeks ago:

"Ang ganda-ganda ng ngipin ng batang toh! Ang galing mag-tutbras! Walang problema. Ang galing mag-alaga!"

I love these doctors. Lol.

...

While in the derma, I read this car magazine. Quite famous it is. C!

Unfortunately, I'm not fond of most magazines. Fashion bores me. Cars bore me.
So I end up reading the car magazine.

However, I liked what I read. Two articles from their August 07 edition.

The first was by Angelo B Puyat. It was about how village guards would instantly let in an SUV while they go through the long ID process for AUVs. Unfair? Yes.

The other was by James Deakin. Meanwhile, this one was about how the traffic enforcers, police and MMDA crew work their shit. They keep trying to "enforce" discipline into people but it never really happens. For example, helping a counter-flowing car cut in line. Or how they punish a bus driver who almost runs over an MMDA officer by taking his license and giving it back the next day.

I didn't expect two serious stuff from a car magazine. But they're both really good. And I enjoyed my read.

These are the kinds of stuff that we should be reading.

Anyhow. This was so much better than another article I read from another magazine.

So yes, it was in another doctor's office... specifically, Alex's pedia.

The article was from SMILE, the in-flight magazine of Cebu Pacific.

....

Okay, I just did my research. The article I'm referring to is this: http://www.cebusmile.com/2007/12/01/up-front-and-personal-4/
(Only the first article: How to Behave in Filipino Barriotic Celebrations.)

It's written by Tim Tayag. He, apparently, is a matapobre stand-up comedian who doesn't mind offending others.

...

I feel that it really was offensive. Really. Stereotypically and racially.
Before any foreigner (or maybe even a Manila socialite?) would end up in the province, they'd read this on their plane. What would go through their minds?

Comedy? I don't think so. We're not barbarians, you know!

It really just annoyed the hell out of me.

What do you think?

Accents, Girls and Spring Awakening.

All right.

Wow. It feels like it's been such a long time since my last blog... Hmm. Yeah.

Anyhow. Back to business: more rambling. Lol.

Well. Actually, the reason I haven't been blogging is... there's nothing to blog about.

Yes, my summer has been fun and interesting for my own personal reasons in it sown repetitive ways. (Gulo ko?)

Speaking of which, this week is the last time I'll be bringing Alex to Gymboree.

Gymboree has been an experience. Hindi lang siya pambata, pangmatanda rin.

(Can you believe they almost called me a dad?)

Guess what, I think I can live with that kind of a job.

I mean... when we started out with the classes, I was telling Trisha that I cannot handle a job like theirs what with all the little kids to take care of. Lol.

Now that it's ending, I can say I can handle that kind of job. Doesn't seem too bad.

Plus, I have good English diction... better than most of their teachers at least.

"Okay, kids, it's time to do our signature activity! Let's all go to the air log and we will play hide and sick. No picking, okay!"

"Wow! Alex has a lot of gleetirs!"

Pucha. Laughing moments talaga!

The funny thing is, they'd sometimes copy what Trisha and I are saying. Lol.

I'm not saying that they all have bad accents. I mean their was this one girl who had good diction like that of an Assumptionista (no bad assumptions, please. (what a pun.) They're not bad.)

But there was this one girl who really impressed me.

She really sounded good! She didn't have an American or English accent or anything. Nope. Neither did she have a hard Tagalog accent or a Filipino accent from schools like Xavier, ICA, St. Paul, etc.

No. It was just so beautiful. And I really like it. It's a turn on.

Add to her voice was here really Filipina look. I hate girls who are so pale white and girls who try to whiten their skin. I mean, brown is beautiful.

Not that I'm saying that I like the girl... God, she's way older than me. But I really liked the way she spoke. It was beautiful.

I want my girl to be like that. Grabe. Ito ba naman ang pinag-usapan.

CHANG TOPIC!

I just watched Spring Awakening again. How I just love that show.

I guess it's because I can truly relate. Somewhat like a mix of Melchior and Moritz in my life.

(Some brilliance. Add talent. A dash of suicide. Mix in some longings. Put in the questioning of everything human. And all those other stuff.)

I also love Ilse. La lang.

Anyhow, most of them have left the show already. Gallagher, Michele, Groff, Pritchard, Wright and others.

(I can't believe I actually know them)

And they even have a new version of Purple Summer. I like it better.

Is it just me--Phoebe Strole (Anna) totally reminds me of myself. Why?

Anyhow. More to come soon. Bye.

Movies! Movies!

Alright. The past few days, I've watched a couple of movies. I'd rather type it here since I do not like using the reviews feature of Multiply. Why? Simply because I don't want to separate my reaction to a certain movie with the blog on that day.

Anyhow. This one will be filled with reviews. And maybe some experiences while watching it. LOL.

BTW. I'll keep them short and simple. LOL.

Here we go: :D

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
Okay. Wow. What a title. HABA! Lol.
I watched this one in the Shang Cinema the weekend after its premiere date.

Anyhow, I liked this one. Didn't love it. I guess it wasn't what I was expecting.
In contrast with Speed Racer: I didn't think I would like the movie based on the first posters I saw on Ms.M's blog, but I suddenly loved it after watching. With this movie, I thought I'd love it but didn't anyway.
Nevertheless, I did enjoy it. :D

Over Her Dead Body.
Okay. This one I watched almost 5 times. However, just on a DVD player. DBD-DBD! Lol.

THe story behind this one: I first encountered this one when CJ invited me to watch it being the Eva Longoria fan he is. *rollseyes* I declines. A few weeks ago, i was just surprised to see it on the new DVDs box. LOL.

So why almost 5 times? Because Trisha fell asleep three times. Every midnight/afternoon, she'd say she wants to watch it. However, before the title card even finishes, she's asleep. Sigh. So I finished the movie on the first time. Th next two times, I just stopped it.
Finally, on the 4th time, she finishes the movie with me putting some attention into it.
She was planning to watch it again with Karen last night. It's a good thing it stopped. (Yey, DBD-DBD!)

So yeah. It had its moments of laughter. Most of them really lose their character which got quite annoying. I loved Jason Biggs and Eva Longoria because they really put the comedy into it. (most memorable line: GOOOuOOOD MuORNIiING!)

Naawa ako sa character ni Jason Biggs. Biglang hindi na sila nagkatuluyan. Sigh.
And parang sad pa rin si Eva Longoria nung umakyat na siya. (Natawa ako sa twist.)

Overall, I'd say I'm glad I didn't waste my money on it for the big screen.
And I HATE TRISHA FOR LIKING THIS OVER JUNO. Humph.

Bring It On: All or Nothing.
This one, I watched on HBO. Although I have watched this before, this time, I paid attention. LOL. Trisha wanted to watch it, and with the laptop nowhere to be found, what else was I to do?

Well. It's cheesy. LOL. But I liked the laughs. (sha boo yah! lol.)
Just really, really, really, really not my cup of tea. Too much of a chick flick. (but even if i was a chick, i think i still wouldn't like it. yeah, that bad.)

In other news, how many cheerleader roles has Hayden Panetierre taken up? I know she has a new cheerleader movie.

Red Eye.
Right after Bring It On, HBO put this on. LOL. Two movies in one night. (Trisha complained when I wanted to watch this movie since we'd be missing the start of Ellen and she's watched this a million times.) Why'd I wanna watch this? Because when I saw its trailer in a cinema before, I told myself I needed to watch this.

First, I have to say Cillian Murphy (also in 28 Days Later) was perfect for the role. Although his eyes weren't red, he did have scary eyes. I mean, seriously, he has really scary blue eyes. Lol. Well, other than that, he acted great for the role here. Ang galing niya sobra! LOL.

The very beginning was annoying. Why start the movie with that scene with the angry couple and the nervous attendant. And more annoyingly is why did they end the movie with still them in focus. It just ruins the aura.

The movie started great. Just what I expected. Really, really cool. Really, really believable on the part of CIllian Murphy. Things start to go wrong though when Murphy introduces himself as the villain. Why? Because airplane girl overacts. It's really annoying. Not overact as in how she acts but overacts as in what the hell was the scriptwriter thinking by giver her that reaction?

However with that aside, the whole airplane scene was really good. I mean really. Things just started to go awry when she stepped out of the airplane. The plot just got all messed up. And you're going... WHAT? It goes even much stranger in the house scene. Ack. It just ends badly.

But you know what... with that in mind, you have to say, "How other way can it go?" I mean, how can you have a happy ending if it didn't go on that way? So I guess it was well... okay.

Gotta give more props to Cillian Murphy though! LOL.
Wow. After research, I found out: airplane girl = regina george. LOL!

21.
Wow. This movie title. It caused much confusion. "You wanna watch a movie: 21?" "What? 23 na eh!" "No, 21." "June 21?" "No... that's this title." LOL.

I watch this in TriNoma. My first time in there. Really nice movie house. It was huge. But... I didn't like it that much. During the trailers, the screen had a lot of lines so I worried the movie would be distorted... which it wasn't anyway, but why cause the anxiety. The seats were recline-able... but I wanted to sit straight and couldn't. Lastly, I was on the wrong row and it was free seating that night. Damn.
Add to that, no single shop sold M'n'Ms. Not even the candy store. Sigh.

Anyhow. Before I tell you more about the movie, I'll give you the reason I couldn't enjoy it that much (just highlight it. but don't if you think you'll get grossed out.): I needed to pee so badly. I drank two bottles of water (which I don't normally do when watching a movie) and I couldn't help my bladders. Sigh. But I didn't pee anyway because the movie was so good I didn't wanna miss a thing. ARGH! It got so bad that when the movie was over and we were walking out na, I could barely move. As in, I had to take small steps that didn't involve moving too much muscles or else PAIN! Grabe. And that was the longest time I can ever remember standing in front of a urinal. Yeah, that bad.
Phew.

This movie stars Oscar winner Kevin Spacey, Kate Bosworth (Superman Returns), Liza Lapira (a rising Filipina star) and Jim Sturgess. He's from Across the Universe. Hahaha. He actually had a voice coach to help him get an American accent.

So here I go: I loved it. Woohoo. I really did. Amazing! Nuff said.

Alright. That's all of them. Next week, Narnia. The week after, The Happening. I love the US Summertime movies. Yeah!

Anyhow, in total contrast to its purpose, I shall use the review section to show the movies i wanna watch. LOL. Hehehehe. Anyhow, that's it for now. I gotta sleep early for boxing. Well, if 2:30 is early. Sigh. Early morning nga. LOL.

it's just another day for you and me

Shoes

Okay. We brought Alex to Gymboree again. This time, I wasn't the bantay. (Grabe. I got soooooo tired the last time I did it.)

But that isn't the point. The point is... I HAVE NEW SHOES. Lol.

Hahaha. So while Trisha was running around the place making sure Alex doesn't trip or anything, I went to People Are People and bought the shoes I've been eyeing since the last week. Hehe.

It looks cool. It's my first pair of sneakers if you can call it that. So now, I don't have to use my rubber shoes for going out, I now have going-out shoes.

What makes me so happy is that I bought it with my own money.
Yes, it's the first pair of clothing that I've bought for myself. Seriously, I've never bought anything for myself... it's always someone else. LOL.

What makes it so cool is that I got it cheaper than expected.
Last time I asked, the price was 2,499. However, the cashier begged to disagree and called two other stores to tell me it's 1,899. Yeah! Wahaha.

In other news, my shopping isn't over. I found a cool pair of shorts in human along with the belt that I found last time. La lang.

Now, my footwear collection is perfect. Hahaha.
Well... I wanna get new rubber shoes already. Mine right now looks so worn out already.

Might I just say, other than searching for glasses, searching for shoes is another "time-taker." I mean, looking for my current pair of rubber shoes wore my dad out. And I found it only after a few days. But with this pair of shoe, I just clicked. LOL.

La lang. Wow, a blog dedicated to a single pair of shoes. o.O

American Idol Rant.

I shouldn't be surprised to open my television set tomorrow and find that Syesha is out of the game. (But I sure will be sad my bet will be gone.)

I mean... her fan base isn't as solid as the Davids'.

However, I'm really disappointed she couldn't be given a gracious leave. It's quite annoying that they have to kick her out of the door instead of give her a kiss of death?

First song: If I Ain't Got You. What the hell was Randy thinking? The first time I found out that Randy chose this song, I was like, "Shit. This won't do her any good."

For one, it's an Alicia Keys signature song. They always pan her for all the signature songs she's done. (Whitney, Fantasia, etc.) Stupid choice of song. Second, just listening to it, you can't do much with it to make it hers. (Take One Rock 'n' Roll as an example. Have you heard/seen  the original performance? SOOOOO far from what she did.)

Guess what, I know what Randy's thinking. Let's give her a song that will ensure she's kicked out of the competition and give a David finale.
Hello? We all know it's a  David-David finale. You don't have to give her a song that bad to ensure it. Any good song she'd done, the Davids would still do it.

I wish Simon chose the song. Damn.

Second song: Fever. I agree with Simon in that she should've chosen a more contemporary song to give the audience something to hang on to. But...

Were they watching they same thing I was watching? THAT WAS 'DA BOMB!
That was vocal perfection. And wow the last note! Her voice is very flexible...
Plus, she had the performance/choreography to match.

What the hell was wrong with them. (At least Randy made up for his lame song choice by commenting her well.)

Third song: Hit Me Up. First off, I'd like to comment on it before I rant about it. It was actually great. It's reminiscent of Beyonce--in my ears at least--and I liked it a lot. It was really good actually. Very contemporary. And of course, great vocals. However, it gets kinda draggy.

Now the rant. It isn't draggy because of her. It's draggy because the song is. The hell? WHY THE FU--ING HELL DID THE PRODUCERS PICK A SONG ON PENGUINS?

I know why. Because they're manipulating the audience into not voting her by choosing a song that's... ARGH! Don't you just hate the producers? Evil manipulators.

I'm hoping for a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal big shock finale and have Gaspy leave.
God, if you can't make world peace, please save Syesha.
Santa, I want that for Christmas. I've been a good boy, haven't I?

I really want her to get in just to smite the producers.

But, most of all, I really want her to win because she really deserves the title.

In other news.

David Archuleta:
And So It Goes: Beautiful!
With You: If I closed my eyes and didn't know it was David Archuleta, I'd love it.
Longer: WTF? Here's another victim of the producers.

David Cook:
First Time Ever I Saw Your Face: AMAZING! WOW!
Dare You To Move: Galing!
I Don't Want to Miss a Thing: If my wish isn't granted, (of course it won't be granted) this song definitely shows why I love David Cook.... It ranks with Always Be My Baby.

I would like to say VIOLINS are David Cook's best friends.
He has hits when he uses violins. Da bomb!

Boxing and Movies

My plan worked. Yeah!

In other news, Friday was eventful. Wahaha.

I went home. Then, boxing. This time, Trisha wanted to try it out. So she came with me. I was quite surprised she didn't do the same things I did on my first day. Ang arte ng trainer niya.

Anyhow, she got so tired, which is why...
1. She bought everything she could buy from Putong Ube. This includes the really scrumptious PUTONG KESO! Yum.
2. She fell asleep the whole afternoon.

In other news, lunch was fun. We had way too salty, watery mongo. (but it was still good)
But what made lunch fun was the show I was able to catch Karen the Carabao. LOL. More about it later.

In more news, I spent the rest of the afternoon listening to Eminem on my iPod. Grabe! Panalo ang greatest hits album niya! (Curtain Call: The Hits) Aside from the stupid Shady songs, it was really, really personal.

Evening came, and we watched two movies with an intermission by Bubble Gang. (grabe, tawa kami nang tawa.)

The first was Vantage Point. Ang ganda ng movie! It was really, really cool. The only problem being the ending where you go. That's it? They all die? and that a lot of people don't get hurt while others do when under the same predicament.

The second was Superhero Movie. I wasn't really that focused. But I didn't have to be to not like the film. I go against the flow by saying Meet the Spartans was more entertaining.

Anyhow, I had McDo take home. Wee.

BTW. Proud Mary is stuck in my head. And here are pics of Karen Carabao. ;D

thank god?!

TriNoma, Shang and Idol

Today was quite fun. Hehe.

It started out really awkward and sad though. But the past is past and words cannot be taken back.

So I woke up relatively early. 11AM. Lol.

After the cold shower and the said awkwardness, Mommy Fim, Trisha and I went to TriNoma.

We first ate at Mann Han. The usual... polunchay, yang chow and sweet and sour pork... and steamed fish. Yum.

Then, we went shopping. Wow, Trisha got a lot of stuff.
I was really happy too. I got my first pair of Havaianas. Yeah! I'm so happy.

After that, we went to Shang this time. After checking out Jymboree (grabe naman 'yan), we did some 'window shopping.' I found the almost perfect wallet-slash-money clip. I'm gonna have my dad get it for me. Yeah!

After, we went around Zara. Found some cool stuff I can only dream of.

Then, we went around Shang again.
Shet. Cool shoes at People Are People. I'm gon'na get it soon. Hahaha.

There was this belt too at Human. (where, btw, they were playing david cook)
I suddenly want shorts. Wahahaha! (shopping fever?)

So we went back to Zara. I came across Ms.A, Ms.M and Mr. Guangco.
Crazy how they say I look like David Archuleta. @.@

Anyhow, we ate merienda after. I got myself a twist at Country Style. Sobrang sarap

So we went home. More awkwardness and fun. Wahaha.

By the way. GO SYESHA!
She made it to the top 3. I'm hoping for some kind of miracle that she makes it to the top 2. Dream on.

happy brownies.

Iron Man, Boxing, Babies, Sleep and More Rambles

Okay. Here I go.

I watched Iron Man last Sunday. I loved it. It was really cool.
I guess what really appealed to me was that this was the most human superhero I know. Even compared to Batman. Oh, and Samuel L. Jackson made an appearance... an avengers movie perhaps?

I just noticed how the stars in the movie are really Academy Award-nominated.
And I like the chemistry of Pepper and Tony.

BTW. I finished a pack of M'n'Ms while watching. Hehe.

Take me on a trip, I'd like to go some day. Take me to New York, I'd love to see L.A. Take me to Chicago, San Francisco Bay. I really want to come kick it with you.

I enjoyed boxing today. And I started thinking about stuff.

I think I'm getting better at it. I mean I'm sweating way beyond than what my towel can handle. Something that hasn't really happened before.

Other than that, I think I'm already punching way faster than before. Kewl. Wahaha.

(yummy. i bought putong ube right after.)

Can we get away this weekend? Take me to Broadway. Let's go shopping baby then we'll go to a cafe. Let's go on the subway. Take me to your hood. I've never been to Brooklyn and I'd like to see what's good.

Ever since I came back to Ayala from the weekend, I've noticed some new stuff about me.

One, I feel really attached to the babies na. While in church, my attention was stolen by this baby who was playing around with his dad/grandfather. I couldn't help but remember Robin. Nanggigil ako sobra. I missed hanging around with him.

Other than that, I was feeding Alex a while ago and carrying her around too. I felt so close.

Wow. Makes you think. I want a baby. LOL!

Second, I just keep falling asleep early. For two night already, I've been sleeping at 8:30. And then I wake up a few ours later.

It feels really good. It's like you're refreshed to sleep late again. Wow.

Estelle once said to me, cool down down. Don't act a fool, now now. I always act a fool oww, oww. Ain't nothing new, now now. Hey crazy, I know what you're thinking. Ribena, I know what you're drinking. Rap singer. Chain blinger. Holla at the next chick soon as you're blinking.

Wow, that song is stuck in my head. I like how it's R'n'By and Jazzy a bit.

I fixed most of my computer problems. (Yey! External Hard Drive!)

I've watched most of Patayin sa Sindak si Barbara already! :D

for the night time

Strange Dream

I don't always remember my dreams when I wake up. But this one was hilarious... for me at least.

Here it goes...

I was in a classroom. Ginoo (Abelita) gave us test and had Mrs. Lugay proctor. So there I started doing my work. Kim was seatmate.

Anyhow. Mrs. Lugay disappeared and Mrs. Dairo entered with her team. There was this one womean who was really, really annoying. Let's call her Marian Rivera. (The actress isn't in the dream ha! It's that the woman is just as annoying as Marian Rivera.)

So. They walked around the room and must of thought I was the best person to talk to. Haha!

And then two of them started talking. Marian Rivera was annoying. It's like she was trying to put Ginoo down in front of Mrs. Dairo (who just kept nodding), so I was defending him. I think I remember a line from my speech. "I'd rather have this third quarter portfolio project done now than in the third quarter. That way, it won't cram up and give us a lot of pressure then." Funneh!

So they left. Marian Rivera got pissed her plan didn't work. I felt so annoyed I couldn't finish my project anymore. So I tried to finalize and passed it to.... ?

Then, I left again. I entered a different classroom.
By the way, the classrooms aren't Xavier classrooms. They're much like the H4 classroom (and hopefully our new classrooms) but not air-conditioned or brightly color.

Back to the story... I entered a different classroom. Sat down. Trisha came in and she introduced me to her friends. All of a sudden the place turned into one of those local karaoke bars with drinking. Except that it was only her friends there.

I'd like to mention that I was shocked when I saw her friends. First thing that came to my mind was... JOLOGS! (Don't call me discriminative. I have jologs friends too... I think. Basta!) Anyhow, so I'm thinking to myself pa, "Where did you get your friends?"

But that wasn't the worst part. Not only did they look jologs, some of them looked liked drug addicts. So my reaction was teka-teka. Haha. There was this guy, the leader of sorts, who started passing out beer. San Mig Light.

I flat out rejected because... who the hell are you and why should I drink with you drug addicts? LOL.

So the guy insulted me becuase I didn't want. In revenge, I got a bottle of beer and banged it on the table. Not only did it make a loud thud, it also made beer splash on his face. LOL!

He got furious. Then I saw Kuya Ricky in the table. Grinning with a tinker. Wahaha. He approves. So I backed off.

The guy was still staring at me. Dripping wet. Furious eyes. Then he suddenly morphs into my kuya's older-looking friends. It didn't matter, he was the same person to me.

Then he said, "Sige pa!" So I did. I kept staring back. Angry eyes too.

And then I attacked. Nagkagulo. LOL!

Quite funny a dream. I woke up then because it was and is already 12:00.
I'm going back home today. Coming back to Ayala on Sunday.

Hopefully, I'll be able to get my glasses and my new hard drive.

Departure

News here from Ayala. Yaya Ellen, my godchild's yaya, is leaving. Shucks.

She's been with Alex since she was just two months, and it's really sad how she's leaving already. (Family issues)

Wow. This really reminds me of Yaya Terry. She had been my yaya since I was born. She also left--when I was around 5 years old--but this time to start a family.

The day she left, I really cried. She had been a big part of me.

Even though she had left, her memories still linger.

Actually, she would call me every July 2 just to greet me a happy birthday. Isn't that sweet?
(She isn't so far away either. Her niece is a maid here in Ayala; her brother-in-law, a security guard in our company.)

Although Alex is much younger than I was then--making her not as conscious of her yaya's departure,-- I'm sure she'll really miss her. I feel for her. Life would really be different.

Then again, Alex's not the only one who has an impact from her. I mean, what about Robin who plays with her. Or Kuya and Ate (who are still having trouble finding a replacement) who were almost and already in tears. And even on me.

I can't imagine how Alexie would be without her. She's been like a mother to her.

We'll miss you.
